This time of quarantine has amplified that perception of home as people have been sequestered indoors during the COVID-19 pandemic. In Bedlam, Dani Dodge and Alanna Marcelletti construct a tower of elegantly encased detritus ranging from the banal to the ironic culminating in an exploration of fragility stacked upon fragility. Pillows stuffed with rubber duckies, empty wine bottles, and deconstructed foam cushions are carefully encased in sheer feminine fabrics exposing the ugliness inside. They rest in a pile of nylon limbs that take shape over a body of women’s underwear erecting a monument to the quarantine bed.
